David cares about his clients and enjoys leveraging his legal skills and experience to help them achieve their goals.

Prior to co-founding the firm, David was a partner in another Portland-based boutique litigation firm, worked as a litigation attorney for a multi-national insurance company and was a litigation associate at a large law firm. David combines his trial and litigation experience with a genuine commitment to and concern for his clients as he works with each client’s unique circumstances and objectives to chart and deploy a strategy best positioned to achieve a successful outcome. While many cases can be settled favorably through negotiated resolution, when matters have to go to trial, David tries cases with a fierce determination to win.

David has an active and diverse civil litigation practice in state and federal courts with a particular focus on business litigation and divorce and family law. David also represents individuals and businesses in real estate and boundary disputes, defense and prosecution of negligence claims, representation in probate matters, construction litigation and civil rights litigation. In addition to his substantial courtroom experience, David also has significant experience representing clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.

David also maintains a mediation practice through which he enjoys working with lawyers and their clients in an effort to achieve negotiated resolutions to disputes.
